Dr. Mahnaz Abdollahi

She has been working in the areas of agricultural technology include hydroponic and vertical farming, green roof, implementation the Internet of Things (IoT) in greenhouse, non-chemical weed management systems.

 As it is interesting to her to create a link between industry and academia, she has been working as a Vice- Chairman of the Board of Directors and Technology and innovation manager of the Sayeban Sazan Fars Company.

Her expertise is in the fields of Agricultural Technology, especially the hydroponic and vertical farming, non-chemical weed management systems and using novel methods (HPLC and GC/MS) for analyzing plant compounds especially Cannabis and expertise in sustainability of plant essential oils.

She has received several commendations from client companies due to her innovative activities in the implementation of projects.

Also, she has had the great honor to be one of the reviewers of the American Journal of Agriculture and Forestry (AJAF) and PLOS ONE, Chemistry and Biodiversity, South African Journal of Botany, Scientia Horticulture, Electronic Journal of Biotechnology and Journal of Experimental Agriculture International. She received the Certificate of Excellent in Reviewing in Journal of Experimental Agriculture International in 2020.
